Point pattern analysis can help identify clustering and other patterns in point data. Unlike geostatistics where each point is associated with a value (air pollution levels, ocean salinity, etc.), location, location, location is all that matters in point pattern analysis. Do maple trees tend to be located near other maple trees? Are there areas with unusually high or low concentrations of breast cancer?

performs key point pattern methods including Ripley’s K and Ghat and Fhat plots to test for “complete spatial randomness.”
